Our new place is now official!

We were so thrilled to show off our new place at our recent open house. It was also a celebration of getting our team together under one roof. The logistics of moving our integration facility and equipment (including one ginormous crane for spacecraft) into a space with offices on site were daunting, but we got it done. We’re now fully moved in to 39,000 square feet of prime office and integration facility space in Bellevue. We couldn’t have done it without the great team at Turner Construction and SAB Architects. (Did you know we are up for Renovation of the Year for this project?)
We had some inspirational words from CEO and President Curt Blake, and Mitsui General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Spaceflight, Ken Kubota. Then guests dined on snacks and enjoyed some libations (including a craft cocktail called the Saucy Sherpa) while checking out the new space. Our engineers, mission managers and other team members enthusiastically walked guests through what happens in our new 2000 square foot clean room, where some of our custom-built hardware was on display.
We were happy to host so many friends, old and new. Special shout outs to the many local government officials and local economic development groups who were pleased to see the growth of the commercial space industry in Bellevue. Also to the many influencers, media partners, customers and vendors who showed up to stroll through our space-themed kitchen or take a look at the history timeline of Spaceflight while nibbling on a Sherpa cookie. Guests got photos of themselves with Sherpa (in space of course!)
We’re looking forward to even more growth in 2023, and are so glad to be a in facility that can accommodate it. Thanks to all who came out and made it a great night!
