
Tony Frego is the Vice President of Mission Management at Spaceflight where he leads the entire Mission Management team in the planning and execution of launch campaigns worldwide. He was the lead mission manager for the Spaceflight’s historic SSO-A launch, and was the Mission Director for the SXRS-5 mission, coordinating teams of engineers throughout the planning, design, integration, and launch of one of the most complex missions in Spaceflight’s history. Tony is driven to always look for ways to improve the customer’s experience.
Prior to Spaceflight, he served as the Project Manager for 200lbf bi-propellant engine produced by Aerojet Rocketdyne which included performing a multi-year delta-qualification effort. Tony graduated from Western Michigan University, with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering.
Frego received the Puget Sound Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award in 2020, and was selected as a member of COMSTAC for 2023 to help the U.S. Department of Transportation and the FAA shape the future of the commercial space transportation industry. When not at work, Tony can often be found wearing a Detroit Tigers hat in search of materials for his next house project, or out in the mountains enjoying hiking and skiing with his wife and two children.
