The PSLV C-38 launch countdown is underway!
At 9:29 AM IST on Friday, June 23, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will be launching the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) XL variant rocket from Satish Dhawan Space Center in India. It will hold 31 total satellites, 8 of which are owned by a Spaceflight customer. Our rapid-launching customer, Spire Global, will be a passenger with their eight LEMUR spacecraft.
This is Spaceflight’s third PSLV mission on behalf of Spire, a private American start-up focused on launching a constellation of CubeSats for data collection from Low-Earth Orbit. Their data collection includes ship tracking and weather monitoring. Working with a returning customer makes everyone’s job easier. Familiarity with environments, requirements, international shipping details, and documentation go quickly and efficiently as everyone gains experience.

A LEMUR satellite.
Spaceflight continues to plan for additional launches this year, accommodating over 100 customers and their spacecraft as they launch into orbit. With this launch, we will have launched 111 satellites into space since our first one in 2013. We look forward to pushing the envelope on space technologies as we see more of both new AND returning customers in the future.
You have an opportunity to watch this launch live! Launch telecast begins on June 22, at 8:30 pm PST, with launch scheduled for 8:59 pm PST. Click HERE for the streaming link.
